Oscar-winning actor Tom Hanks says his marriage to Rita Wilson does not require “vast work” as they get along well.
The 60-year-old star, who met Wilson when they were in high school, says though people think it is hard to maintain a publicised relationship, he and his wife complement each other very well, reported Femalefirst
“People say, ‘Jeez, it must be hard to stay married in show business. I think it’s hard to stay married anywhere, but if you marry the right person, it might work out. We give each other a natural sense of support for whatever the other wants to pursue.
“Our marriage doesn’t require vast work. We have been married 28 years and dig each other a lot,” he said.
Last year, Wilson underwent a double mastectomy and breast reconstruction surgery after being diagnosed with breast cancer, and her husband is overwhelmed by her bravery.
“All I can do is bow down before the courage of my wife,” Hanks said.
Hanks will return as Robert Langdon this weekend in Inferno, based on writer Dan Brown’s thriller of the same name.
