The Hunger Games were never a ‘game’, but from the little that's revealed in the trailer of the film, released on Monday, it is now established that the horns of war are bellowing as loud as they can. Katniss (Jennifer Lawrence) has launched a full-fledged rebellion against the Capitol after Peeta (Josh Hutcherson) was abducted in the last part, Catching Fire. But needless to say, she is in for a big surprise in this one.

The 1.47 minute video begins with a dialogue between Katniss and the President where the former tries to remind and perhaps also to the viewers what the fight was for originally: "I never wanted any of this... Just wanted to save my sister and keep Peeta alive". To which President Snow replies very sternly: "It’s the things we love most that destroy us."

The trailer has next to no dialogues but whatever little there are, they are all equally power-packed. For instance, when Katniss says that if the Capitol doesn’t oblige to their demands "there will be another Mockingjay."

The trailer promises even more darkness in the film than its two predecessors, and stunning war scenes. Some revelations of the shadiness of Peeta’s character and a growing camaraderie between Katniss and Gale.

This third installment in the Hunger Games trilogy is also based on Suzzane Collins’ books by the same name and is set to release on November 21.
