Hollywood stars John Travolta and Uma Thurman, who sizzled on the big screen in cult classics Pulp Fiction and Be Cool, are in talks to join the cast of Oliver Stone’s drug cartel drama Savages. Also in discussion is actor Blake Lively, reports deadline.com.
They will join cast members Taylor Kitsch, Aaron Johnson, Salma Hayek and Oscar-winner Benicio Del Toro. Based on Don Winslow’s bestselling book, the film centres on two small-time pot dealers (Kitsch and Johnson) who are bullied into aligning themselves with a violent drug cartel (Del Toro) after their close friend (Lively) is kidnapped. Travolta will play an agent on the case, and Thurman will play Lively’s mother. It goes on floors in July.
