Actor Ali Fazal could not be part of the international promotions of his debut Hollywood film — the seventh instalment of the Fast And The Furious franchise. However, now, he seems to be making up for the same by helping organise the film’s India premiere in Mumbai. “I am looking forward to it. I will be hosting it,” says Ali, confirming the news.
Ali says he has fond memories of working on the big budget Hollywood action film, and especially with stars such as Vin Diesel and the late Paul Walker. As a matter of fact, he says that Diesel, who has also co-produced the film, greeted him with open arms.
“Welcoming me to the team was a magnanimous gesture by Vin. He spoke to me about India and gave me tips on my diet and workout,” says Ali, adding, “Vin is a warm person. He reached out to all the actors. He made sure we were treated like kings. His hospitality knows no bounds.”
The young actor also got to spend time with Walker, whose untimely death in a car accident in 2013 shocked the industry. “I will never forget the candid chat I had with Paul about action-packed cinema,” says Ali.
