The first footage of The Girl, a film about the legendary horror filmmaker Alfred Hitchcock's muse Tippi Hedren, is finally out and it sure shows the British director in a chilling light.
The 30-second teaser trailer for The Girl shows Hitchcock's creepy interactions with his The Birds and Marnie star, also hinting at repeated incidents of harassment and stalking, reported Huffington Post.
The footage features a chilling voiceover of Toby Jones (as Hitchcock) reciting the lines below:
"There was a young lady of Trent
Who said that she knew what it meant
When he asked her to dine,
Private room, lots of wine,
She knew, oh she knew! -- but she went!"
He (Hitchcock) "ruined my career, but he didn't ruin my life," Hedren had told the Television Critics Association earlier this month.
Sienna Miller stars as the young Tippi Hedren, while Toby Jones is seen playing the legedary filmmaker. The film has been directed by Julian Jarrold and it premieres on HBO on October 20.
