When Benedict Cumberbatch visited a comic book store as Doctor Strange

Benedict Cumberbatch’s fans were in for a surprise when the actor stepped into a New York comic book store in full Doctor Strange garb.

The 39-year-old British actor, who was in New York shooting the Marvel superhero movie, took some time off to visit the store, reported Entertainment Weekly.

“So, the Doctor just came in for a quick visit,” JHU Comic Books posted on its social media accounts, alongside a photo of Cumberbatch and the store’s manager.

Marvel Entertainment also posted a picture of The Imitation Game actor holding a Doctor Strange comic book.

Director Scott Derrickson too shared an image from the shop. “That’s a wrap,” he wrote in the caption, indicating that principle photography for the upcoming movie was over.

Doctor Strange will hit the theatres on November 4.
