Hollywood surely knows how to take insult sportingly. Take for instance Jimmy Kimmel popular late night talk show segment ‘Mean Tweets.’ Kimmel brought it to the Oscars on Sunday, with several stars, including Natalie Portman, Ryan Gosling, Casey Affleck and Emma Stone, reading what internet trolls had to say about them.
“Emma Stone looks like a crack whore in every role she plays,” read Stone aloud, to the segment’s signature soundtrack, Everybody Hurts, by REM.
To which she replied, “Great,” nodding her head.
The Oscars edition of Kimmel’s popular Mean Tweets was in honour of “the internet trolls who keep celebrities grounded day after day, night after night.”
