    Nandy leaves after protests over comment

    As the controversy over his comments at the Jaipur literature festival refused to die down, sociologist and author Ashis Nandy left for Delhi on Sunday. A group of university students, government employees and SC/ST Rajasthan Manch activists staged a protest demanding his
    arrest.

    On Saturday, Nandy had said those from the SC/STs and OBCs were the most corrupt, inviting the ire of people from the reserved categories. Later, Nandy clarified he meant to say people from such categories did not get legal help in corruption cases.
