The German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) offers full scholarships for Indian students to pursue higher studies in Germany. Some of the ­scholarships on offer are: a.) Jawaharlal Nehru Award for ­international understanding - Dr Angela Merkel scholarship; master’s ­scholarship for European Law, b.) PhD scholarships (research grants for ­doctoral candidates and young ­academics and scientists), c.) Sandwich Model scholarships for PhD ­registered scholars (research grants for ­doctoral candidates and young ­academics and scientists)

Eligibility: Highly qualified graduates with a first university degree in law (bachelor or equivalent), with or ­without professional experience can apply for Jawaharlal Nehru Award for ­international understanding - Dr Angela Merkel scholarship; master’s ­scholarship for European Law. Highly ­qualified post graduates from any ­discipline are eligible to apply for PhD scholarships. Scholars ­registered for their PhD (in any ­discipline) at ­universities or research ­institutes in India can apply for Sandwich Model scholarships
