Apply for the National Talent Search Exam

The National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) is inviting applications for its National Talent Search Examination. The National Talent Search Scheme is a flagship activity of the NCERT started in 1963. This year, NCERT will conduct the exam for Class 10 students.

On the basis of the exam, 1,000 scholarships will be awarded. The scholarships will be awarded as under: Scholarship of Rs. 1,250 per month for Class 11 to 12; scholarship of Rs. 2,000 per month for undergraduate and postgraduates; and amount of scholarship for PhD that will be fixed in accordance with the UGC norms.

There will be a two-stage selection process for awarding the scholarship. For stage one, selection will be done through a written exam.

Students who qualify stage one will be eligible to appear for the stage two exam, conducted by the NCERT. The deadline for submitting applications is August 31, 2014, which may vary from state to state.
