BVB celebrates Munshi’s birthday

Delhi Kendra organised a programme with a view to pay tribute to the Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan’s (BVB) founder Dr. K.M. Munshi on his 125th birth anniversary. During the Platinum Jubilee year of the Bhavan, the Bhavan’s Delhi Kendra to install Dr. K.M. Munshi Bust in the fore court of Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan at Kasturba Gandhi Marg, New Delhi.


Speaker Lok Sabha, Meira Kumar graced the occasion as Chief Guest and unveiled the bust at 11.30 a.m. Murli Deora, MP Rajya Sabha was the Guest of Honour.

Other eminent personalities presented on this occasion and added the value to the event were Kapila Vatsayayan, Shovana Narayan, Bharati Shivaji, Prof. Satya Vrat Shastri, C.R. Gharekhan, Chairman, Bhavan’s Delhi Kendra, Uma Vasudev, Vice-Chairperson, Bhavan’s Delhi Kendra, Kum. Surrendar Sair, Chairperson Bhavan’s Mehta Vidyalaya and Director and Ashok Pradhan, Bhavan’s Delhi Kendra.

UGC to outsource NET exam to CBSE

The University Grants Commission (UGC) has decided to outsource the National Eligibility Test (NET)  for lecturers to CBSE.

Eligibility: Candidate should have postgraduate degree in any branch of life sciences having at least 50% or equivalent Grade Point Average (GPA). Students belonging to reserve category will be eligible for 5% relaxation for students of Maharashtra state only
