AICTE has announced the schedule for conducting the national level Common Management Admission Test (CMAT) to admit students to various management programmes for the academic year 2015-16. Graduates in any discipline, or students in their final year of graduation can apply for the examination. The candidates can appear for the exam in September 2014, and February 2015, and the better of the two scores would be used. The test fee for the first test in any test centre in India is Rs. 1,400 for general and PBC candidates, and Rs. 700 for SC/ST/PD, with extra bank charges as applicable. The payment can be made online through net banking or debit or credit card, or by cash along with an online generated challan at any branch of State Bank of India. Students can register on the official website from July 03, 2014 to August 25, 2014, and give a choice of three dates with three cities of India for the online examination, from which they will be allotted their test centres. Prescribed test centres include Amritsar, Delhi, Bangalore, Chandigarh, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Pune and Kolkata. The complete list of centres can be found on the website. The exam dates for the first test are between September 25, 2014 and September 29, 2014. The result would be declared on October 30, 2014, following which a detailed merit list would be provided to the respective state governments for allotting the students through central counselling or otherwise as per their notified procedure.
