The Embassy of Japan and the Japan Foundation in New Delhi are organising the CLICK! Japan Photo Contest this year in June. The contest is open to Indian residents, who have stayed in Japan for any duration, between April 2013 and June 2014.

The photo(s) must be the original work of the participant, who should be a non-professional photographer only, and taken in Japan within the stipulated period mentioned above. The contest provides an opportunity for aspiring, non-professional photographers in India to capture new experiences of the culture and lifestyle in Japan through their lenses, where they can explore their skills and get their work recognised in the international forum as well.

The winners will be given awards and opportunity for sharing their work experiences at the Japan Foundation in New Delhi. The winners’ photos will also appear in the publication of the Embassy of Japan in India and the Japan Foundation.

The chosen photos will also be displayed in a photo exhibition at the Japan Foundation, New Delhi, Gallery from August 1 to August 30, 2014. The submission of entries will start from June 1, 2014 , and the deadline for submission is June 30, 2014. The maximum and minimum number of entries per person is one (if it is a set, up to three pictures are allowed). The size of the picture should be minimum 2MB, and maximum 5MB.

The photos for the exhibition will be chosen by a committee based on expressiveness (how the photographer’s messages are conveyed) and on originality (how fresh and creative the photographer’s ideas/points of view are). Applicants can send their entries to registration@jfindia.org.in. Visit http://www.jfindia.org.in/ for details.
