Astrology is the study of the movements and relative positions of celestial bodies and their influence on human affairs. It is one of the oldest forms of predictive sciences which have been in practice in several countries since time immemorial.

In India, while one section of academicians is of the view that astrology is actually a partial science or pseudoscience others term it a pure science.

“Educated and well-read people may not want to call it a pure science but when they hold any important event, whether personal and professional, they go to astrologers to find out an auspicious occasion to start the work. Today, the internet has brought the  younger generation closer to the subject,” says  Tania Gupta, a Delhi-based astrologer.
