Steve Smith has criticised the performance of the Australian bowlers in the rain-marred ICC Champions Trophy 2017 clash against New Zealand at Edgbaston. Kane Williamson, the New Zealand skipper, slammed his ninth ton and helped the team to 291 all out. In response, Australia were in trouble at 53/3 before rain washed out the game, forcing both teams to share a point.

Speaking in the post-match press conference, Smith said the team was lucky to have gotten away from the situation they were in and said that it was Australia’s worst bowling performance in a long time.
