14 passengers killed as bus overturns in Jharkhand

Fourteen people were killed and 17 others injured on Saturday when a bus overturned at Poreyahat in Jharkhand's Godda district.

"The bus was ferrying a wedding party when it overturned, killing 14 persons," Superintendent of Police Ajay Linda said over phone.

He said that 17 others suffered injuries with the condition of two of them stated to be serious.

The mishap occurred near Bhatonda in Poreyahat block.
