The 16-year-old rose to fame after she won Voice of India-Chhote Ustad show aired on Star TV in 2009.

Yogesh Kumar, station house officer (SHO) at the Pehowa police station, told Hindustan Times over phone that the police were clueless about the missing minor.

“According to the parents, she went to a temple at Pehowa in the morning but did not return home. Inquiries said that she did not reach the temple and her cell phone is also switched off,” said the SHO.

He said that police teams had been constituted to trace the missing singer.

It is learnt that the family has not named anyone who could be behind the mysterious disappearance of the girl.
