2 bodies found in Karnal;foul play suspected

The local police on Monday recovered the body of an Uttar Pradesh resident from industrial area here on Monday.


Identified as Rais Khan of Badi village near Karnal-UP border, Khan, who was a mechanic in a private firm, was returning home on a bus from Gurgaon. He had asked his family to come to Karnal to pick him up.

Khalid Ali, the father of the deceased, said that they became suspicious as Ali's mobile phone was switched off.

The police said that no visible injury mark was found on the deceased body and further action would be taken after the postmortem examination. A murder case had been registered, the police said.

In another incident, the local police fished out the body of Kuldeep Singh, a resident of Gudha village, from a canal at Indri town here on Sunday night.

His vehicle was also recovered from the canal.

Gurnam Singh, the brother of the deceased, has alleged foul play behind the incident.

Following a complaint, a murder case was registered at the Indri police station.
