LS elections: Poll dates, no of constituencies, voter info, election statistics

India's mammoth parliamentary elections began on April 7. Voting will be held in nine phases that have been staggered until May 12.

Counting of votes will be done on May 16.

The term of the current Lok Sabha expires on June 1 and the new House has to be constituted by May 31.
