4 die in separate road mishaps

Four persons, including two students, died in separate road accidents on Wednesday in different parts of the city.

According to police, the victims, Monu, 18, and Pradeep, 19 — both residents of Alwar district in Rajasthan — were on the way to a friend’s place on a bike. When they reached Bilaspur-Pataudi Road, a truck rammed into their bike, killing them on the spot. They were studying in Class 10. The police arrested the truck driver, Devender Singh, resident of Bijnour, Uttar Pradesh, and produced him before a court on Thursday. Singh has been sent to Bhondsi jail. The police impounded the vehicle. 

In the second incident, Vimlesh, a resident of Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, sustained serious injuries after a vehicle hit her. Although she was admitted to a private hospital, she succumbed to her injuries on Thursday.

In another accident, Ram Kishan, a priest at an Om Nagar temple, died after he came under the wheels of a speeding vehicle on Wednesday night. HTC
