Nearly 50 students from the National Capital Region (NCR) and other states are all set to go on a two-week residential leadership programme to be held in Rishikesh from May 18 to June 1.

The programme is jointly organised by The Shri Ram School, Gurgaon, and Aspen Institute India, an NGO which works on fostering leadership values. This is the second batch of the programme which was launched in May 2012.

Students from Classes 9-12 have been enrolled for the 100-hour and 9-module programme.

“It is extremely satisfying to see our young students deliberate on contemporary issues and build new friendships and after a two-week transformative experience, commence on a new journey of enlightened leadership,” said Amit Bhatia, senior moderator of the programme.

As many as 30 students from the NCR and Maharashtra participated in the special programme last year.

Madhav Mathura, a Class 10 student of The Shri Ram School, Aravali, said he learnt to be an attentive listener after attending the programme.

This year too, participants look forward to learning soft skills, work on case studies, learn music in the evening on the banks of the Ganga, indulge in adventure activities and Socratic dialogue with moderators.
