50-yr-old man beaten to death, foul play suspected

A 50-year-old man was allegedly beaten to death by the residents of Muradnagar Tekna on the suspicion of being a member of rumoured 'kala-kachha' gang on Rohtak-Bhiwani road here on Monday.

The identity of the deceased has not been confirmed so far, but the police have registered a murder case against Sandeep Kumar and eight others of the said village.

According to details, the police received the information that the residents of Muradpur Tekna had beaten a member of 'kala-kachha' gang. When the police reached the spot, his body was already lying in the pool of blood.

Superintendent of police (SP) Rajesh Duggal, deputy superintendent of police (DSP) Sumit Kumar, DSP Anil Yadav, and forensic science laboratory (FSL) team expert Saroj Dahiya reached the spot to take stock of the situation. The police have also seized a vehicle in which the victim was brought to the spot after being beaten at Lahli village, 3km from the spot, where the body was recovered by police.
