After searching the missing buffaloes of cabinet minister Azam Khan, the police have another job at hand – finding out the dog of former union minister and Agra MP Ram Shankar Katheria.

Kalu, one-and-a-half year old Labrador dog of the former minister, went missing three days ago. After the attempts to search it failed, Dr Mridula Katheria, wife of the BJP leader, lodged a complaint with the SP (city) Susheel Ghule, on Friday.

Katheria resides in Khandari premises of Agra university and has two dogs of Labrador breed – Kalu and Bhoora.

“Kalu has been a part of our family. He went missing three days ago. We tried to trace it but failed. Left with no choice, we had to seek help from Agra police,” said Dr Mridula Katheria, while talking to newsmen at Hari Parvat police station.

“If Uttar Pradesh police can find stolen buffaloes of cabinet minister Mohd Azam Khan, why can’t they trace my dog,” she said.

She said her family was missing Kalu and the other dog Bhoora had not eaten anything for the last three days. She said that the missing puppy was two feet high and black in colour.

SP (city) Subhash Ghule said the police would take appropriate action in this case.

The minister’s wife, however, refused to comment when asked if such complaints would not add to the burden on police who were trying to work out cases that were of serious nature.
