Alert in Bihar on New year's eve

An alert has been sounded across Bihar on the eve of the New Year celebrations following the directive of the Centre.


All the Superintendents of Police have been asked to put up the police stations in their respective areas on maximum alert, Additional Director General of Police (Headquarters) P K Thakur said today.
Special security attention would be given to vital installations, including railway properties, he said.

SSB personnel would keep a close watch on people movement across the border with Nepal, officials said.

Additional forces would be deployed in all the sensitive and crowded places including markets, bus terminus and railway stations.
