#1 "Gareebi se mukti paani hai tou hamain financial untouchability se bhi mukti paani hogi"
(If we want to get rid of poverty, we will need to get rid of financial untouchability too)
While launching his pet project Pradhanmantri Jan Dhan Yojana on 28 August 2014, the Prime Minister laid stress on the need to connect the poor with the country's financial structure. The scheme of providing bank accounts to every citizen of the country primarily aims at ensuring that the country's rural poor connect with the economic infrastructure. "When someone opens a bank account, they take the first step towards connecting with the country's economy," he said stressing on how such an effort can also help a country's economy grow.
Exemplifying Mahatma Gandhi's struggle against the social evil of untouchability, PM Modi laid stress on the need to eradicate financial untouchability.
#2 "Gujarat se bhi anek guna aage badhne ki taakat ye Jharkhand rajya main hai"
(Jharkhand has the strength to be much more prosperous than Gujarat)
PM Modi visited Ranchi on 21 August 2014 to inaugurate a whole host of industrial and infrastructure projects, including the Ranchi-Dharamjaygarh-Sipat 765kv power grid.
In a classic reminder of his poll campaigns, Modi began his speech in the local language and when on to thank them for the Lok Sabha elections victory. "I will return the love you've given me with interest — with development," he said adding how Jharkhand had the potential to be more prosperous than any other state in the country, even Gujarat.

While addressing scientists and senior officers of the armed forces at DRDO on 20 August 2014, the Prime Minister not only expressed his gratitude for their hardwork but he also laid stress on the need to finish projects in a timely manner.
"We should visualise where the world could be heading and how we plan to move with it, so that we have the potential to become a leader." He also ecouraged the DRDO to prepare and set agendas for such possibilities.

On August 16 2014, the PM Modi dedicated the 765 kV Solapur-Raichur power grid to the station in Solapur, Maharashtra. In an address after the event, the Prime Minister laid stress on the need for the youth to be aware of the need to save electricity. "People think that if they join the Army or becomes MPs and MLAs, only then they can serve the country, but I say if one helps in saving electricity it is also a way of serving the country."

While addressing troops of the India Army and the Indian Air Force on his maiden trip to Leh and Ladakh, Prime Minister talked about the need for fighting terrorism and maintaining humanitarian efforts at the same time.
PM Modi was also acutely critical of Pakistan as he accused it of continuing a proxy war of terrorism against India, saying it had lost the strength to fight a conventional war. "They (Pakistan) have lost the strength to fight a conventional war, but continues to engage in the proxy war of terrorism," he said on 12 August 2014.
