Bharatiya Janata Party's (BJP's) prime ministerial nominee Narendra Modi on Saturday once again trained his guns on the Gandhi family, while alleging a secret pact against the saffron party had been inked in Bihar.

Addressing a rally in Katihar in the eastern part of the state, Modi used French term RSVP, frequently used in invitation cards to request for responses, and gave it a new meaning to attack the Congress.

He accused Rahul, Sonia, Vadra and Priyanka (RSVP) of practising unsavoury 'magic'.

"…it's the magical effect of RSVP model of development that a person's earning rises from Rs. one lakh to Rs. 400 crore in five years," Modi said, apparently referring to an alleged rise in the fortunes of Congress president Sonia Gandhi's son-in-law, Robert Vadra.

Modi was campaigning for three-time BJP parliamentarian Nikhil Kumar Choudhary, who is up against Union minister Shah Tariq Anwar (NCP).

Anti-BJP alliance
"The true picture of politics in Bihar is getting clearer now as some have forged alliance in open but others are siding with them behind the curtains," Modi said, apparently accusing the ruling JD-U of working in tandem with the RJD-Congress-NCP alliance.

His statement came against the backdrop of JD(U) candidate Akhtarul Iman pulling out of the Lok Sabha race in Kisanganj to avoid division of "secular" votes.

Modi also dared "behind the screen" players to come out in the open.
