BJP’s prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi, having almost completed the first round of election campaigning through public rallies, will interact with BJP MPs at a dinner party here on February 11. He is likely to reiterate, among other issues, the need to get back to the traditional ways of campaigning. This will be the last such interaction between BJP MPs and their PM candidate ahead of the elections.
Modi has been addressing public rallies after his anointment as the PM candidate and his interaction has largely restricted to discussing issues with leaders active in the organisation.
“This is the last session of Parliament and MPs will return to their constituencies after February 21 to get involved in electioneering. Modi wants them to get actively involved in the ‘one note, one vote’ programme launched by the party recently. He is likely to advice them not to get swayed by media publicity and focus on door to door campaign,” a senior BJP leader said.
