Barely a fortnight after sharing the dais with Samajwadi Party (SP) president Mulayam Singh Yadav, Rajya Sabha MP Amar Singh called on the SP chief again at his residence on Tuesday, raising speculation about his comeback to the party.

The duo was joined by chief minister Akhilesh Yadav and PWD minister Shivpal Singh Yadav. While senior party leaders refused to comment on this encore, Singh dodged the question too.

“I wonder what the brouhaha is all about. I may have left the party but have always shared good relations not only with Mulayam Singh Yadav but also with Shivpal, Akhilesh and Dimple, who are more like a family to me,” Singh said.

Singh is understood to have taken feedback from them on the reported anger among some party leaders like Azam Khan, Naresh Agarwal and Ram Gopal Yadav over his likely return to the party fold.
