Ramban, where tempers continue to run high, falls on the Srinagar-Jammu National Highway, the same route used by pilgrims for the Amarnath yatra to travel from Jammu to the base camps in Pahalgam and Sonamarg.

Besides, several points on the Srinagar-Jammu highway witnessed violent protests in the Valley on Friday.
