Around 200 kgs of explosive materials were seized and four persons arrested in raids at different locations on Monday night at Raghunathganj in Murshidabad district of West Bengal.
In a raid at Darbeshpara area on Monday, police arrested two and seized 94 kg of explosive materials stored in a godown in Suti village, SP Mukhesh said.
On Tuesday in a second raid in the same area, police arrested two more persons and seized around 100 kgs of explosive materials.
The materials were potassium nitrate and sulphur which the police said are used for making bombs.
On November 6, three Nepal nationals, including a woman, were arrested in Siliguri with a large consignment of explosives, includng 609 gelatin sticks, 200 detonators and 230 cartridge shellls.
