'Art of Living' course for Himachal prisoners

About 40 prisoners lodged in the Kanda jail in Shimla have undergone an 'Art of Living' course, which ended on Sunday.


They practiced Yoga, Pranayam and Sudarshan Kriya for two hours everyday in the morning, Seema Sharma who conducted the course, said.

Before this batch, four batches including one exclusively of women inmates, underwent the programme in the same prison in April-May, she added.

Sharma, who is state coordinator of prison programme conducted by the Art of Living, claimed the feedback from participants was very heartening.

She said similar programmes would be soon held in jails in Solan, Kullu, Una and Chamba in the state.
