Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) convenor Arvind Kejriwal was greeted with black flags as he entered Haryana through the Delhi-Faridabad border for a road show on Saturday morning.

Kejriwal was on his way to Faridabad to campaign for his party nominee Purshotam Dagar for the Faridabad Parliamentary constituency. Soon after he entered Haryana, a large number of residents of Sector 37 waved black flags at Kejriwal in protest against his government’s failure to keep promises made to the people of Delhi.

“We wanted to register our protest and to send him a message that he cannot fool the people of Haryana with his false promises and then run away before delivering them,” said one Suresh Kumar of Sector 37, Faridabad.

However, the AAP chief remained unfazed with the protests. He continued with his roadshow covering Mathura Road, Badhkal village, Patel Chowk area, BK Chowk, Piyali Chowk, YMCA, Sector 3, Ballabgarh, Prithla and Palwal area.

At Badhkal, Kejriwal in his speech lashed out at both Congress and BJP for inflation and corruption. He said his party had fielded candidates to put up a tough fight against Rahul Gandhi in Amethi. He clearly hinted that he was going to fight against Modi in Varanasi.

Attacking Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda for corruption and aggravating the bad conditions of farmers, Kejriwal said that farmers’ land had been usurped by the Hooda government, DLF and Robert Vadra. He said his party would change the system.
