Alleging that the godman had been falsely implicated in the sex assault case, a group of men and women halted the Ernakulam-bound Mangla Express for about 20 minutes at 2:15pm.

Soon, however, the railway protection force chased the agitators away and cleared the tracks.

On Tuesday, the same group — Sri Yog Vedanta Seva Samiti — made an unsuccessful bid to stop Bhopal-bound Shatabdi Express and Mumbai-bound Punjab Mail.
