Nearly half a dozen passengers in Bhopal-bound Shatabdi Express train complained that they found cockroaches in the food served on the train on Saturday.

Most cases were found in C6 compartment of the train. The Shatabdi Express arrived at Bhopal station at 2 pm. Madhusoodan, one of the passengers who came to Bhopal, said that after the train left Jhansi station, they were served food.

"At least over half a dozen passengers found cockroaches in rice and curry. It was shocking. We contacted the catering manager, but he was rude and tried to justify that such things happen. Then we made a formal complaint to the travelling ticket examiner (TTE)," he said.
