Acting on a tip-off, the police team Friday raided the unit at Barpali town, about 400 kilometres from Bhubaneswar. A computer, a colour printer and other material used to produce the fake notes were seized, district superintendent of police Anoop Krishna told IANS.

The team managed to nab three people including the main accused, he said.

Fake Indian currencies with a face value of over Rs. 30,000 were seized from the unit.

The currencies were of Rs. 500 and Rs. 100 denomination, said Krishna, adding that search is on to nab others involved in the racket.
