Bihar BJP president Mangal Pandey on Tuesday sacked state party spokesman Ram Kishore Singh from his post for his reported anti-Narendra Modi remarks and served him a show cause asking him to explain his conduct.

The party leadership will decide on further action against Singh if his explanation was not found to be satisfactory, Pandey told reporters.

Singh had created a flutter yesterday by questioning the Gujarat Chief Minister's capability to lead BJP-led NDA to victory in the next general elections.

"There is serious doubt about Modi's capability to lead NDA to power with majority in the next general elections," he had told reporters yesterday.

A former BJP MLC, Singh had been sulking after the party leadership did not nominate him for another term last year.

He had reportedly met Chief Minister Nitish Kumar yesterday and lavished praise on the latter. He had said at least 35 BJP MLAs had won the last assembly polls in the state due to campaigning by Kumar.
