A day after Delhi Police recovered a gun from Sukhdev Singh Namdhari’s house at Bazpur in Uttarakhand, the state unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) expelled him from the party on Monday.

Namdhari’s expulsion came after much deliberation since a group in the BJP was reportedly lobbying in his favour. Namdhari has been booked for allegedly shooting at Hardeep.

“The party investigated Namdhari’s case and decided to expel him from the party,” said BJP state unit president Bishan Singh Chuphal.
