The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), led by its state president and member of the Jammu and Kashmir legislative assembly (MLA), Sat Sharma along with Lok Sabha member of parliament (MP) Jugal Kishore Sharma, Rajya Sabha MP Shamsher Singh Manhas, state general secretary (organisation) Ashok Kaul held a protest march on Thursday against the atrocities on activists and their families affiliated to the BJP and the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) in Kerala.

The leaders of the BJP from the state, district, mandals, wards and morchas participated in the foot march, while raising slogans against the Kerala government asked it to stop the mayhem.

The march started from the Kachi Chawni and passed through the Sabji Mandi, Purani Mandi and the bus stand to culminate near the Press Club.

Sat Sharma, while addressing, criticised the Kerala government for its “indifference” towards the ever increasing number of attacks on activists and their families affiliated with BJP and RSS.

He said that the Kerala government has failed miserably in defending the democracy by not just promoting the attacks, but also shielding the attackers.

Jugal Kishore Sharma said the nation is united over failed policies of the Kerala government and ‘Jana Raksha Yatra’ is being carried all over India to show the solidarity with the activists of Kerala.
