Even as the Parliament session draws to a close, BJP has decided to keep alive the twin issues of Indo-Pak joint statement delinking terror from the composite dialogue and price rise by raking it up at the constituency levels through its MPs.
Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha and senior BJP leader L K Advani told party MPs to "take to the streets" on the issue of Indo-Pak joint statement and rising prices of essential commodities after the end of the ongoing session of Parliament.
BJP Deputy Leader in Lok Sabha Sushma Swaraj told reporters that Advani, while addressing the "wrap up" session of the party's Parliamentary Party meeting today, asked the MPs to tour their constituencies "to spread awareness about the government's mistake to delink action against terror from composite dialogue and the issue of rising prices".
"Advani ji asked them to raise the two issues before the people after the session ends," Swaraj said.
She said Advani "expressed satisfaction" at the attendance and performance of BJP MPs in both Houses of Parliament. The party is also "pleased" that the government has unexpectedly given so many issues to the opposition by its mistakes so soon after the elections.
The BJP leader claimed that her party managed to raise important issues and corner the government on various occasions without disrupting the House.
