“Muzaffar Wani, the father of Burhan Wani was in the ashram for the last two days”, Sri Sri tweeted.

Police sources confirmed that Wani left Kashmir three days ago, adding that he has been part of Sri Sri’s Art of Living through inter faith contact group since last many years.

However, efforts to reach Muzaffar Wani for comments failed as he did not answer the calls.

News of Muzaffar Wani’s meeting with Sri Sri Ravi Shankar came on a day Jammu and Kashmir chief minister Mehbooba Mufti met Prime Minister Modi and presented a “three-pronged action plan” that includes a dialogue with all stakeholders to bring lasting peace in the troubled Valley.

Seventy people have been killed and thousands injured in clashes between stone-pelting protesters and security forces since Burhan Wani’s death on July 8 as Mufti’s government faced criticism over the handling of the demonstrations.
