CBI books man for ‘fraudulently’ seeking donation in the name of Narendra Modi Vichar Manch

The CBI in its FIR said the outfit has no link with the office of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The CBI has initiated a probe against an organisation, named 'Narendra Modi Vichar Manch', and it's President on the charges of fraudulently collecting donations in the name of PM Modi. 

The CBI in its FIR said the outfit has no link with the office of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. 

"It is revealed that 'Narendra Modi Vichar Manch is a registered group housing society located at G-57, Indira Enclave, sector 21D, Faridabad under Haryana Registration and Regulation of Societies Act and it has no link with the office of Honourable Prime Minister of India," said the CBI FIR. 

The agency said the president of the organisation along with other unknown persons has been cheating people by demanding or collecting donations 'illegally and fraudulently by inducement and misusing the name of PM Modi. 

The agency has also found that the organisation also has a website that displays photo of PM Modi.

"The said website also carries the photograph of JP Singh in the capacity of President of said sanstha," said the FIR. 

The CBI has invoked sections of cheating and criminal conspiracy in its FIR.
