A class 10 student was allegedly gang raped for three days in a jungle in Mandsaur district, while a minor girl was suspected to have been raped before she was murdered in Satna, the police said on Sunday.

In a third incident, a Bhopal woman preparing for civil services exam alleged that she was raped for two years by a man on the pretext of marriage, the police said.

The gang rape victim lived in a village of Mandsaur and had gone to her school to collect her mark sheet on May 15. On her way back home, she was offered a lift by two of her acquaintances on a bike. Later, three others joined them and took her to a jungle where she was gang raped for three days, according to the complaint filed with the police.

The girl’s parents lodged a “missing person” report with Seetamau police station on May 15 night, but the police, parents and their relatives could not locate the girl. She returned home on May 18 and narrated her ordeal to her parents.

Mandsaur superintendent of police Manoj Singh said all the five accused in the case had been arrested.

Additional superintendent of police Sunder Singh Kanesh said the first two accused who took the girl on their bike were Dashrath and Phul Singh, residents of the girl’s village. The three other accused who live in nearby villages were arrested later. Medical examination of the girl had been conducted and interrogation of the accused was going on.

In the Satna incident, the semi-naked body of a minor girl was found on the terrace of her house by her parents on Saturday night, the police said.

According to police, the 14-year-old girl’s parents were not at home when the incident happened. When they returned in the night they found the main door of the house open. They later found their daughter’s body on the terrace, wrapped in a bed-sheet and with only her upper garments.

Police suspect it to be a case of rape and murder. But Satna superintendent of police Rajesh Hingankar said the body had been sent for post-mortem and only after the report comes will they be able to say if the girl was raped before being murdered.

In Bhopal, a 27-year-old woman preparing for the Indian Administrative Service (IAS) examination lodged a report with MP Nagar police station alleging that she was blackmailed and raped by one Rishabh Sahu for two years on the basis of an MMS. The accused had established physical relations with her on the pretext of marriage, but started blackmailing her with a video he surreptitiously made of their sex act, the police said. The accused is yet to be arrested.

Bhopal South superintendent of police Rahul Lodha said investigation was on and the accused was yet to be arrested.
