Class 12 students kill classmate for not fetching liquor, two held

Police have arrested two class 12th students on the charges of murdering their classmate for not fetching more liquor for them.


The victim is identified as Parveen Kumar, 18, a resident of Kamla Nagar area in Rohtak.

Parveen, a student of class 12 was to appear in Haryana Board exam scheduled to start from 12th March. He along with his two classmates planned to drink alcohol in outskirts of the city. Meanwhile, two other boys, studying in class 10 and 11, joined them.

Police said that all five boys drank alcohol sitting near the drain till midnight. Later, the four asked Kumar to fetch more liquor for them, who refused and they started fighting. One of the accused injured Parveen with knife and others attacked him with sticks that caused his death.

Fearing police action, the boys disposed Parveen's body and bundled it in a sack and threw it in drain near Sugar mill colony.

The matter came to light, when police held one of the suspects drinking alcohol at a public place under Shivaji Nagar police station. Upon questioning, incidentally, revealed the details of Parveen Kumar's murder along with names of other co-accused.

Victim's parents told police that he had left home on March 9 on the pretext of purchasing medicine for their pet dog but didn't return. Police have recovered Parveen's decomposed body.

A case of murder has been registered against the four boys, while two were  arrested, efforts are being made to nab remaining two.
