The CBI is likely to inform the Supreme Court on Monday the number of coal blocks wherein no criminality was found as the agency will file a status report on its allocation.

According to agency sources, as many as 195 coal block allocations are under probe, which were allocated since 1993. Though the agency has registered FIRs in 16 cases, there are around five dozen other cases where it has not found any criminality.

According to CBI sources, it suspects the maximum irregularities in the allocations between 2005 and 2009 when the Centre allocated coal blocks on a bigger scale in comparison to the period between 1993 and 2004.
