The Haryana food and supplies department has started a toll-free number helpline number 1800-180-2087 for consumers to enable them to get information, consultation or guidance.
A spokesperson for the department said in a release on Wednesday that counseling on all products and services would be provided on all working days from 9 am to 5 pm.
The information gathered through the helpline would be used as a resource centre for counselling.
The resource centre at the state level would have network with the national resource centre, the spokesperson said. The helpline would also serve as an alternate consumer disputes redressal mechanism at state level and it would help in resolving a large number of disputes out of court, he added.
