A policeman died after the vehicle he was driving, was attacked with stones in north Kashmir's Baramulla district on Wednesday.

Police said Kanwal Nain Singh lost control over the police bus, which turned turtle, when it came under attack at Palhallan town, 35-km from capital Srinagar.

At least eight people have also been injured in the incident. Immediately after Eid prayers, angry youth shouted anti-India slogans and started pelting stones. Police said they have registered a case and have started investigations into the incident.
