Based on the documents retrieved from the car, the police established the identity of the man as Dipak Sharma, a 35-year-old cab driver from Paonta Sahib in Himachal Pradesh.

The reason for his death, which police believe is a murder, is not immediately known. They have communicated his death to Sharma’s family.  His brother Sanjay confirmed that Sharma was a cab driver and said he left home with a tour party.

“We have registered a case against unknown persons on Sanja’s complaint on Monday,” said Amarjit Singh Rawat, in-charge of Jhabreda police station.
