While inducting senior leader of Nationalist Congress party (NCP) Vir Singh Bidhuri in the BJP, Delhi election in-charge Nitin Gadkari on Tuesday said a number of other party leaders have shown a keen interest in joining the party.

He said those who had expressed a desire to join the party included leaders from the ruling Congress.

He said they fear the anti-incumbency factor would prove disastrous in the polls due to the 15 years of its rule in Delhi.

“Several leaders are in touch with the us (BJP) to join the party and bring down the current government. The BJP will win the upcoming elections and it will draw huge support in the days ahead,” he added.
