Ahead of his statewide tour that begins from today, social activist Anna Hazare seems to be in trouble. A group within Jantantra Morcha that was formed earlier this year by Hazare, General (retd) VK Singh in Patna, has opposed the proposed tour of Hazare from Tuesday.

The leaders say Hazare has been ‘high jacked’ by NGO’s who are using his name for petty interest.
Former bureaucrat SS Pangti who leads Anna team in Uttarakhand held meeting with other members in capital even as Anna was present in Haridwar.
“General (retd) VK Singh is not with Anna Hazare this time since we had already informed him that few NGO’s are trying to encash Hazare’s image” told PC Thapliyal, incharge of Jantantrik Morcha, Uttarakhand chapter.
Thapliyal and Pangti alleged that NGO’s were planning to distract Anna movement by involving Hazare in the controversial issues. Hazare is expected to visit the proposed Coca Cola bottling plant site in the outer Dehradun on Tuesday. He is also scheduled to visit Uttarkashi and raise voice against the recent union government’s order notifying 100 kms stretch from Gaumukh to Uttarkashi as eco sensitive zone.
“The Anna movement is for bigger issue not for state specific issues. Why should he get involved in the controversial matters” asked Thapliyal. In fact the Anna team based in the mountain state has decided to maintain distance from his tour that ends on 23 May at Rudrapur.
Earlier in the day Hazare arrived Haridwar with journalist Santosh Bhartiya. Speaking to media persons, he said that no where Indian constitution has stated that India should be ruled by a political party.
“It should be governed by representative of the people of this country” he said. Party politics is being played everywhere in the country though nowhere in constitution gives hint that BJP or Congress will run the system of the country. It should be ‘Janta ki vyavastha’ not party vyavastha hence the need of the hour is Vyavastha parivartan (change of  system of governance).

The need is not to change the power but the system added Anna. If one party who is in power is dethroned another will come but the situation remains the same in the country.

When asked if it was necessary to form a party to end corruption in the country, Anna said “Rajneeti sey to corruption badha hai” (With politics, corruption had increased in the nation). The only thing needed was spirituality and transformation for which good ethics and spiritual discipline was a must, he added.
