Police suspect the hand of one Vijay Kumar and have launched a manhunt to arrest him after lodging a case against him.

The victim, identified as 25-year-old Renu of Hardoi, had been employed as a domestic help in the house of cable trader Pawan Anand in Faridabad’s Sector 15 here for the past one month. She had been staying in the servants’ quarter of the house with her two-year-old daughter Khushi.

Police said her husband Jeetu works as a cook in the house of a local politician.

Police said Jeetu’s friend Vijay Kumar had a few days ago accompanied her girlfriend Babita to the room where Renu lived.

Renu’s body was discovered in a pool of blood by her sister Sunita, when she went to visit her. Khushi was found crying next to the body. Anand, Renu’s employer, immediately informed the police.

The police believe that the victim was attacked with sharp weapons in her neck. “We are also investigating Babita’s role, who is absconding,” said Poonam Dalal, ACP Central, and added that other angles of the case are also being investigated.
